Dr. Sara Murphy is a board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist who has been in private
practice in the Indianapolis area since 1985. Dr. Murphy has a particular interest in minimally invasive
surgery, menopausal medicine (to include bio-identical hormone therapy) and sexual health. She is one of the few physicians
in the Indianapolis area to be certified as a Menopausal Practicioner by the North American Menopause Society.
An Indianapolis native, Dr. Murphy was valedictorian of her graduating class from North Central High School.
She did her undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, and subsequently returned to
Indianapolis for medical school and residency at IU Medical Center.
Dr. Murphy has 2 sons, Tyler and Connor. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, and travel.
She is also a huge fan of National Public Radio.
