Lynda Smirz, MD, MBA has been in private practice
in Indianapolis for 24 years. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Smirz has a master's degree
in organic chemistry from Purdue University and worked at Eli
Lilly and Company in process research and development before returning
to school to earn her medical degree from Indiana University School
of medicine. She did her OB/Gyn residency at Indiana University
Medical Center. She enrolled in the Butler University
College of Business Administration and completed her MBA with
highest honors in 2001. Additionally, she has been designated a NAMS Menopause
Practitioner after passing the competency exam in Washington DC
in October 2004. Dr. Smirz assumed the role of Chief Medical Officer for
Clarian North Medical Center in May, 2005. She is responsible for
patient safety and quality at Clarian North.
In her gynocology practice she specializes in postmenopausal health and
female sexual dysfunction and sits on advisory boards for Eli
Lilly and Warner Chillcotte pharmaceutical companies. She was
the lead obstetrician for the Dilley sextuplet birth in 1993.
Her hobbies include snow skiing, hiking and
participating in triathlons.
